Yes, all European consumers are required to pay VAT (about 19-25%) on all goods and services. We had worked hard in the last few months hoping to offer our customers the lowest possible rate and now we decide to offer our European backers a EU-Friendly VAT at 8.5% only. Having absorbed some of the cost at our end, we will deliver DOER directly from a European warehouse right to your doorstep. Hassle-free, you’ll get DOER with no customs, no duties, no standing in queues and no other additional cost.

Are motors for the tools brushed or brushless?
All motors we currently use are brushed motors. We are pleased to advise that we have unlocked 1) free upgrade of Brushless Motor (BLM) Circular Saw; 2) BLM Drill will be available on the optional and add-on list at the end of the campaign. The BLM angle grinder is highly possible, but we need more time to develop BLM Router. We do not want to over promise but can assure you that our Research & Development team has been working extremely hard on it!

What are the measurements of the accessories box? Do they have any specific functions?
The measurements of accessories box are 14 ½ cm x 14 ½ cm x 5 ½ cm. We designed the boxes for keeping accessories or our upcoming mini tools (surprise!). They would come with another FoldaBag. Alternatively, Ultimate backers can choose either the 8 accessories boxes or another 4.0Ah battery when they complete the fulfilment survey at the end of the campaign.

Is DOER battery compatible with other brands?
The DOER battery is not compatible with other brands.
We will offer higher capacity batteries 5.0Ah, 6.0Ah…etc to DOER customers in the future.
Since we have been in the powertools industry for many years, we always resell our previous power toolbox through our strong retailers and resellers network. For DOER, we are confident that our customers would have no issues to find replacement batteries easily.

What kind of power plug does the AC/DC converter have? How many volts are needed?
We provide country-specific plugs such as UL for USA and Canada, VDE for Europe, SAA for Australia, PSE for Japan, BS for UK, HK, Malaysia, etc. Our AC/DC converter works with 100 to 240 volts.

Absolutely! We found that there is a lot of variability in shipping and tariff rates from country to country. Rather than make a long table of the prices for all of the 193 member nations of the UN, we believe that it’s easier if you reach and directly message us on the Kickstarter platform with your location and how many you want. Why do we create a new brand DOER?
We were proud to innovate an 8-functions-in-one-case workshop 10 years ago. That’s why we named the brand POWER8workshop to showcase its 8 functions. The unique POWERhandle featuring the combined piece of the grip and the battery is one of them.
Passionate and ambitious, we target is to expand the DOER product line to all handheld powertools in the future. To make it happen, our founder as the first step invented the UniGrip (file patent in 2017), which is designed with a detachable battery for the POWERhandle, applicable for different powertools such as angle grinder, router, grass trimmers.
We create the brand DOER. Unlike Power8, the brand goes without numerical functions for future expansion. DOER Basic kit includes 12 functions, and we will expand the DOER product lines to more handheld powertools in future. With such an ambitious plan, we need your support!

What’s the relationship between DOER and POWER8?
DOER is an advanced and upgraded version of POWER8, which is owned by DOER’s founder Kenneth, who is also the co-founder and the then major shareholder of CEL-UK. Rather than a single person, the original POWER8 was invented by Chris and developed by a team, which included both the UK and Chinese engineers, as well as DOER’s founder. Owning the intellectual property of both POWER8 and DOER, our founder is still in partnership with CEL-UK on another great project - CEL-ROBOX. Hope this helps clarify the relationship and the ownership of POWER8, DOER and ROBOX. All these are great products!

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
